THE DCRI SERVICE DESK

The DCRI Service Desk provides technical assistance for DCRI-issued software and hardware and limited technical support for questions related to non-DCRI computers, software, and web-based applications. They are available to take your call 6 a.m. to midnight (Eastern Time [UTC-5:00/-4:00]), Monday through Friday, except DCRI holidays.

During off-hours, emergency On-Call services are available for major issues, such as a down system. Call 919.668.8916, option 1, and leave a message that includes your name, a phone number where you can be reached, plus a description of the problem. The on-call Service Desk specialist will return your call as soon as possible.

 
TRAINING & DOCUMENTATION

The following IT resources are available after you log on to the DCRI network:

  • User guides, web-based training modules (WBTs), quick reference cards (QRCs), and classroom training information related to DCRI-issued software are available on online Learning Centers.
  • Details about instructor-led training classes covering DCRI-issued software appear in the IT Training Course Catalog.
  • Orientation information for new hires appears in the Technology Orientation website, including important phone numbers and web links.
  • Some questions pertaining to the operation of software or hardware used at the DCRI can be answered by checking the DCRI Service Desk online knowledgebase at servicedesk.dcri.duke.edu.
